In 2007, the International Union of Foodworkers (IUF) published a gender equality guide ‘All for One = One for All’.
The 2007 guide was produced for the IUF by the consultant Celia Mather. GLI Manchester is currently working on producing a new updated version of this guide.
This new version will be a guide to build solidarity for gender equality. It will focus on equality issues facing women in the workplace, the union and at home, and will encourage women’s greater representation in unions, at all levels. It will draw from the 2007 guide but will be updated including new issues, facts and case studies of union success.
Section One: Fighting Inequality will focus on issues of inequality that women face, and provide examples of how trade unionists are tackling them.
Section Two: Union Power For All will encourage organising and building solidarity and union power to address inequality.
