Global Labour University
If you are looking for full time study in international labour related topics, GLI recommends the Global Labour University (GLU). The GLU offers Master’s courses, Certificate courses, as well high quality, free courses via their Online Academy.
At the Global Labour University (GLU) trade unionists study, research and debate together in a global environment. It is a unique opportunity to think about ways towards greater solidarity, freedom and social justice in a deeply unfair and divided world. Its global network provides an innovative framework for research and policy development, in an environment that is truly multicultural, multi-regional and multidisciplinary.
Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO)
GLI collaborates closely with WIEGO on research and education work specifically related to informal workers.
Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) is a global network dedicated to improving the working conditions of the working poor – especially women – in the informal economy. We strive for equal economic opportunities, rights, protection and voice for all workers.
Friedrich–Ebert–Stiftung (FES)
GLI works with the FES’s Global Trade Union Programme as well as FES regional offices in various projects related to informal workers. FES also supports the GLI History Programme.
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is the oldest political foundation in Germany with a rich tradition in social democracy dating back to its foundation in 1925. Their work focuses on the core ideas and values of social democracy – freedom, justice and solidarity.
